Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Mechanical Maintenance Technician troubleshoots, repairs, maintains, and improves industrial production equipment and facility systems, with a strong focus on mechanical maintenance. This role requires hands-on expertise in hydraulics, pneumatic systems, fabrication, and air compressor systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all equipment.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot mechanical issues on industrial production equipment and facility systems to quickly identify root causes of failures.
- Perform repairs on industrial machinery, including hydraulic and pneumatic components, to restore equipment to safe and reliable operation.
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Diagnose and repair air compressor systems, including identifying leaks, replacing components, and optimizing system performance.
- Use welding and fabrication skills, including MIG and ARC welding, to repair, modify, or fabricate parts and structures as needed.
- Inspect equipment regularly to detect wear, damage, or potential failures and take corrective actions promptly.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately to support maintenance planning and equipment history tracking.
- Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work, support production needs, and improve equipment reliability.
- Follow safety procedures and best practices while working on equipment and in the facility to maintain a safe work environment.
- Recommend and implement improvements to equipment and maintenance practices to enhance performance, reliability, and safety.
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining air compressors.
- Proficiency in fabrication, including MIG and ARC welding.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues on industrial equipment.
- Experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial environment.
- Ability to perform maintenance repair work on a variety of industrial machines and systems.
- Experience working with industrial production equipment and facility systems.
- Comfort working with pneumatic systems and related components.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment safety and reliability.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in an industrial facility working directly with production equipment and facility systems. There are multiple shift options available, including three openings on first shift from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with occasional Saturday work for approximately four hours starting at 4:30 a.m. There is also an opening on second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The environment involves hands-on mechanical work with hydraulics, air compressors, and welding/fabrication equipment, requiring adherence to safety procedures and appropriate work attire suitable for an industrial maintenance setting.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $64916.80 - $64916.80/yr.
