Job Description
Join a leading aerospace manufacturer as an Aerospace Assembler, where you will build high-quality aerospace-grade products by interpreting complex engineering documentation and performing precise mechanical and structural assembly. This role focuses on accuracy, safety, and adherence to rigorous quality standards while working with a variety of tools and precision measuring instruments in a structured production environment.
Responsibilities
- Read and accurately interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and detailed work instructions to assemble aerospace-grade components and products.
- Perform precise mechanical and structural assembly tasks using a variety of hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, fixtures, and templates.
- Conduct in-process inspections to verify that assemblies meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Perform functional tests on assembled components and products to ensure proper operation and performance.
- Document all assembly and testing data clearly and accurately in accordance with established procedures and quality requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality standards and safety procedures, including compliance with AS9100 requirements.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances during assembly.
- Handle materials and components safely, including performing heavy lifting up to 40 lbs as required in the assembly process.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all workplace safety guidelines and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members and follow direction from supervisors and engineering staff to meet production schedules and quality goals.
Essential Skills
- 1–4 years of assembly experience, preferably within aerospace, space, or satellite manufacturing environments.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Hands-on experience performing mechanical and structural assembly using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, fixtures, and templates.
- Working knowledge of quality standards and safety procedures, including experience in environments compliant with AS9100.
- Proficiency using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for dimensional inspection.
- Capability to conduct in-process inspections and perform functional tests on assembled components.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document assembly and testing data accurately.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as part of regular job duties.
- Reliable work habits and ability to work consistently on a structured production schedule.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in aerospace, space, or satellite manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with mechanical assembly best practices and aerospace-grade standards.

Work Environment
This role is based in a production environment with an aerospace manufacturer, working on a first shift schedule from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will work on the shop floor using hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, fixtures, templates, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. The environment emphasizes adherence to AS9100 quality standards, safety procedures, and accurate documentation. Work involves standing for extended periods and performing occasional heavy lifting up to 40 lbs, in a structured, process-driven setting with a focus on precision and reliability.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
