Job Description
The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the daily operation, monitoring, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility and utility systems that support manufacturing operations. This position is vital for maintaining the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of cleanroom environments and critical production-support systems through routine inspections, preventive maintenance, rapid response to system alarms, emergency support, and day-to-day operational activities.

Responsibilities
- Perform commercial electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Inspect electrical rooms, panels, and backup power systems.
- Repair and maintain lighting systems.
- Complete work orders and update maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors.
- Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Assist with general facility maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and building repairs.
- Engage in preventive maintenance and industrial electrical troubleshooting.

Essential Skills
- 5+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience.
- Electrician skills related to panels and systems.
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting, conduit bending, and power distribution.
- Knowledge of motors, electrical panels, breakers, and lighting systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Familiarity with building automation/control systems such as switches, touchscreens, VFDs, and PLCs.

Work Environment
The role operates Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5:30 pm, with the requirement to respond to off-hour emergency calls and availability for night shifts or weekends when necessary. The work environment includes EMS settings and cleanrooms.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sugar Land, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
