LHH is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist.This role will be responsible for supporting both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions while ensuring accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and excellent internal and external customer service.

LHH is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist.This role will be responsible for supporting both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions while ensuring accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and excellent internal and external customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner (Epicor)
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
- Review invoices for proper approvals and coding
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain vendor records and assist with 1099 preparation
- Generate and distribute customer invoices
- Apply incoming payments and maintain accurate customer accounts
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances each week
- Research and resolve customer billing discrepancies
- Reconcile customer accounts and prepare related reporting
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation
- Assist with month-end close activities
- Support audits and financial reporting requests
- Maintain accurate records in ERP
- Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and customer service teams
- Assist with process improvements and special projects as needed
- 2+ years of accounting experience, including Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- ERP software experience required; experience with manufacturing ERP systems is a plus (SAP, Epicor, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
