Job Title: Mechanical Assembler/Material Handler
Job Description
This role focuses on performing basic, standardized, and repetitive mechanical assembly and labeling of components, assemblies, and subassemblies in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. You follow detailed verbal and written instructions, use hand tools and scanners, and ensure all assemblies meet specified requirements while working under close supervision and adhering to safety and security procedures.
Responsibilities
- Follow detailed verbal and written instructions to complete assigned assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Perform basic, standardized, and repetitive mechanical assembly operations on components, assemblies, and subassemblies.
- Manually assemble inserted components using visual aids, verifying specifications before and during assembly.
- Inspect parts and completed assemblies to confirm that all work has been performed correctly and meets quality standards.
- Apply labels and perform other basic finishing tasks on components, assemblies, or subassemblies as required.
- Use scanners and hand tools safely and correctly to support assembly and reporting activities.
- Accurately report assembly work completed, including quantities, part numbers, and any issues encountered.
- Work under the direct, close supervision of the Manufacturing Supervisor, Line Manager, or other assigned management personnel.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support production and manufacturing operations.
Essential Skills
- Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience performing basic mechanical assembly tasks in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Proficiency using hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to use scanners and related equipment to support assembly and reporting processes.
- Capability to inspect parts and assemblies to verify correct assembly and quality.
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs as part of regular job duties.
- Willingness to work under direct, close supervision and follow established procedures.
- Commitment to following safety rules, regulations, and security policies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in an assembly or production role within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Comfort working with standardized, repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
- Basic understanding of visual aids, diagrams, or work instructions used in assembly processes.
- Reliability and punctuality in a structured production setting.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florence, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.70/hr.
