Job Description
As a Production Helper, you will play a crucial role in supporting efficient manufacturing operations by handling raw material bags safely and accurately. Your responsibilities will include ensuring quality standards, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate bag-slicing equipment and associated material-handling equipment.
- Verify materials and quantities against production schedules.
- Inspect materials for damage, contamination, or quality concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Dispose of empty bags and waste materials properly.
- Report equipment issues and safety concerns.
- Complete production documentation.
- Follow all safety, GMP, and PPE requirements.
- Assist with other production duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Ability to lift 50-60 lbs.
- 1-2 years of manufacturing experience in a heavy industrial setting.
- Familiarity with documentation on quality forms.
- Good work history.
- Machine operation and general production skills.
Work Environment
The work environment is industrial, dusty, and can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, requiring physical labor. The team size is typically 1-2 people, with each CMO responsible for two machines. Teamwork and attention to detail are critical. Candidates should be prepared to work overtime with short notice. The dress code includes jeans, a T-shirt, steel-tip boots, safety glasses, and a hard hat, which will be provided.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reading, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
