Production Worker/Linear Operator/Assembler/CNC Operator - Montgomery, IL
Job Description
We are hiring for a variety of roles including, Linear and CNC operators as well as production workers and assemblers. If your skill set falls into that range please apply. The pay rate ranges from $18.50-$23 an hour.
Responsibilities
- Assemble bearing components by installing races and ensuring proper alignment according to work instructions.
- Apply adhesive and Teflon materials accurately and consistently as specified in production documentation.
- Manually press and position bearing components by hand using appropriate techniques and hand tools.
- Cut and prepare materials required for the assembly process to meet production needs.
- Monitor bearings throughout the curing process, which may take up to 12 hours, and document any issues or abnormalities.
- Rotate between multiple tasks and workstations throughout the day to support overall production flow.
- Return to cured bearings to complete final assembly, finishing, and any required rework steps.
- Perform visual and manual quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
- Identify and report any defects, inconsistencies, or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with housekeeping and safety guidelines.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures, including proper use of tools and materials.
- Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement in production processes.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or general production environments.
- Proficiency using hand tools safely and effectively during assembly tasks.
- Ability to perform detailed inspection and quality checks on parts and finished products.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure correct assembly, alignment, and material application.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions accurately.
- Capability to rotate between multiple tasks and workstations during a shift.
- Willingness and ability to stand, move, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
- Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with adhesives and materials such as Teflon in a production setting.
- in assembling mechanical or precision components is beneficial.
- Familiarity with basic quality control practices and documentation.
- Comfort working with curing processes and monitoring parts over extended timeframes.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing facility operating on an evening shift from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. You will work at various workstations throughout the shift, handling materials, using hand tools, and performing manual assembly tasks. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with established procedures for quality and housekeeping. Appropriate work attire suitable for a production floor is required, and you will spend much of the shift standing, moving between stations, and working with tools and curing equipment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
