CNC MachinistAbout the Role

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to support our manufacturing operations by producing high-precision components in a fast-paced machine shop environment. This position requires hands-on expertise with CNC equipment, strong blueprint interpretation skills, and the ability to maintain quality standards while working independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, adjust, and operate CNC milling machines, including 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis equipment.
  • Prepare machines for production runs by loading tools, fixtures, and materials.
  • Retrieve, verify, and run machining programs from company systems.
  • Modify and optimize programs through G-code and M-code editing as needed.
  • Manufacture parts to exact specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
  • Utilize conventional shop equipment, including manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and other machining tools.
  • Inspect finished parts throughout the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make process adjustments to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience operating and setting up CNC machining equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC mills, lathes, and precision machining practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Experience making program edits and machine adjustments to ensure part accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities within a machine shop setting.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with grinders, shears, and additional fabrication equipment.
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments, including:
    • Micrometers
    • Calipers
    • Bore gauges
    • Height gauges
    • Other inspection tools
  • Backgrounds performing first-article and in-process inspections.
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality production standards.

Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $46.00/hr.
