National Director of Operations (F&B)
Job Description
We represent a client seeking a national F&B Director of Operations. They are a well-established operator with national presence and a history of successfully operating multiple F&B and Retail concessions concepts serving the traveling public. We are seeking a dynamic, focused experienced Director of Operations with clear leadership and operations skills within F&B. Concepts include; Café, QSR, Bar, Casual Dining, Upscale Casual, Counter Service, News & Gift, Convenience, Specialty Hardline’s and Softline’s across varied travel related venues.
This position will be a member of the Sr. Executive Leadership and will be critical to the overall success and future of this flat organization. The successful individual will have senior level management with strong F&B operations experience at the District, Regional, Director or VP level and must also have a strong financial acumen, strong Excel skills with a history of full P&L responsibility. In addition, retail experience at the District or Regional level is a big plus. Experience in travel, cultural, sports, event or other concessions is desired but not required. Ideally, you will possess a broad range of experience touching all operational aspects from RFP’s to build-out to continuing operations across a range of concepts and partnerships. Your record of achievement will include an ability to implement sound operational practices and controls, meet financial and growth goals while building and instilling a culture of purposeful customer service excellence.
Reporting directly to the C-level, the successful candidate will also demonstrate a strong and open communication style as well as characteristics of entrepreneurship, independent thinking, leadership, and staff development skills including an ability to interact and maintain working relationships with Senior Representatives of Landlords, Federal, Local, and State Governments, and operating partners. Political savviness is required. Clearly demonstrated professionalism with a record of achievement in driving sales and profit, inventory and cash management, and successful vendor relationships is essential. Compensation $150K-$200K, competitive benefit package including bonus, insurance, 401K, and vacation.

This position will be based in northern New Jersey with overnight national travel required. This position is NOT eligible for relocation and/or sponsorship assistance, on-site required, NO remote or hybrid. Must reside within a reasonable commute to EWR.
