Pay Range: $32.00–$42.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time- Direct Hire Placement

Opportunity

Legacy Career Solutions is partnering with a rapidly growing electrical equipment manufacturer in the Inland Empire that designs and manufactures custom power-distribution equipment for commercial and industrial applications.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Production Foreman who can take ownership of daily floor activities, lead production employees, maintain accountability, and help ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

This is not a desk-only supervisory position. The successful candidate will be highly visible on the production floor and comfortable directing employees, solving production problems, reviewing drawings and job requirements, and coordinating with other departments to keep work moving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide daily direction to production employees.
  • Assign work based on project priorities, employee skills, production schedules, and required completion dates.
  • Review job folders, drawings, bills of material, panel schedules, and project requirements.
  • Ensure employees have the materials, components, tools, drawings, and instructions required to complete assigned work.
  • Monitor productivity, workmanship, attendance, safety, and employee performance.
  • Hold employees accountable for production expectations and deadlines.
  • Address performance, attendance, quality, and workplace conduct concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Provide hands-on coaching and training to improve employee skills, quality, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the production floor and regularly inspect work in progress.
  • Identify production bottlenecks, missing materials, drawing conflicts, and staffing issues before they affect deadlines.
  • Coordinate with engineering, inventory, purchasing, quality control, and project management.
  • Ensure equipment is manufactured according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Help reduce rework, material waste, damaged components, and unnecessary labor costs.
  • Support production scheduling, overtime planning, onboarding, training, testing, final inspection, packaging, and shipment preparation.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, fabrication, electrical-equipment manufacturing, or a closely related environment.
  • 2+ years of supervisory, lead-person, or foreman experience in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead production employees and maintain an organized workflow.
  • Experience meeting demanding production schedules and deadlines.
  • Ability to read and understand production drawings, bills of material, job travelers, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong leadership skills and willingness to address employee performance and accountability issues.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work onsite in Jurupa Valley, California.
  • Ability to work overtime or weekends when necessary to meet critical production deadlines.

Highly Preferred

Experience within switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, electrical equipment, industrial controls, or related manufacturing is highly desirable.

Additional preferred experience includes:

  • Low-voltage power-distribution equipment
  • UL 891 manufacturing
  • Switchboard assembly
  • Electrical or control wiring
  • Bus fabrication and installation
  • Enclosure assembly
  • Equipment testing and quality inspection
  • Reading single-line diagrams, panel schedules, electrical drawings, or wiring diagrams
  • Siemens, Eaton, Square D, ABB, or similar electrical components
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a leader who is firm, fair, consistent, hands-on, and comfortable taking ownership of the production floor. This individual should be able to earn the respect of experienced manufacturing employees while maintaining clear expectations for productivity, quality, attendance, and safety.
