Position Summary
CTS Global Supply Chain Solutions is seeking a Human Resources Specialist. Administers HR programs and processes including onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration, employee support, compliance activities, and training coordination. This role supports employee lifecycle administration, recruiting, employee relations, payroll, benefits, compliance, and workforce support.
This professional position performs assigned work while developing full proficiency, maintains accurate records and communication, follows established controls, and escalates exceptions appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assigned work related to workforce planning and recruiting records.
- Perform assigned work related to new-hire onboarding, orientation, work authorization, personnel files, probation tracking, and offboarding.
- Perform assigned work related to employee relations, coaching support, investigations, corrective action, policy interpretation, and workplace concerns.
- Perform assigned work related to payroll inputs, time and attendance, benefits enrollment, leave administration, compensation changes, and employee questions.
- Perform assigned work related to HRIS data, employee records, reports, audits, document retention, and confidential information.
- Communicate status, missing information, routine questions, and service updates to the appropriate internal or external stakeholders.
- Maintain complete and accurate system data, supporting documents, notes, approvals, and audit trails; resolve routine discrepancies and escalate complex exceptions.
- Follow established procedures, deadlines, data-security standards, and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws; Company policies; confidentiality standards; and records-retention requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant education and experience may be considered.
- 1-3 years of directly relevant experience is preferred; demonstrated technical or analytical capability may substitute for tenure.
- Strong working knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll and benefits administration, HR compliance, HRIS administration, and employee development appropriate to the level of the position.
- Ability to use HRIS, payroll and benefits platforms, applicant-tracking systems, Microsoft 365, and document-management tools accurately and efficiently; willingness to learn Company-specific systems and workflows.
- Demonstrated accuracy, judgment, organization, problem-solving, professional communication, confidentiality, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a multi-state, multi-location logistics, transportation, warehousing, or service organization.
- Experience with recruiting, payroll, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and HRIS administration.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or another relevant HR certification, where appropriate to the role.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and HR reporting proficiency.
