Manufacturing Production Associate/Laborer

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Manufacturing Production Associate to support the fabrication of heavy-duty fabric canopies used on race car transporters. This is a hands-on, physically active position involving the measuring, marking, cutting, lifting, pulling, and positioning of large fabric materials. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, comfortable working as part of a production team, and able to perform repetitive physical tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the production and fabrication of heavy-duty fabric canopies.
• Measure and mark fabric according to production specifications.
• Cut fabric safely and accurately using approved tools and equipment.
• Lift, pull, carry, position, and arrange large or heavy fabric materials.
• Work on the production floor while kneeling or using knee pads as required.
• Assist other production team members with material handling and fabrication tasks.
• Inspect materials and finished work for visible defects or inconsistencies.
• Follow production instructions, measurements, and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
• Follow all company safety policies and immediately report unsafe conditions.
• Complete other production-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, production, upholstery, textile, canvas, fabrication, or warehouse experience is a plus.
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure and follow basic measurements.
• Ability to understand verbal and written work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new production methods and safely use cutting tools.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) and Sewing experience a big plus.

Physical Requirements

The employee must be able to:

• Regularly lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Push, pull, and position large pieces of heavy fabric.
• Stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
• Frequently bend, reach, squat, kneel, and work at floor level.
• Wear and work while using knee pads when required.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Safely handle cutting tools and production materials.
• Work in a manufacturing environment that may include noise, dust, temperature changes, and moving equipment.
