Field Technician Work Without the Commute

On-Site Health & Safety places a trained Field Technician on industrial worksites — construction, refineries, plants — to handle injury response, health screenings, and incident documentation. Your scheduled week is five eight-hour days, and you start and end it at home in a company vehicle. Beyond that, you decide how much more you work.

This is a mobile role. You'll travel between worksites rather than working out of one fixed location, and the work is occupational health and safety on industrial sites.

Who we're looking for

EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, or Military MedicLicensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical NurseEmergency Medical Responder, Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant, or CNA — these qualify with additional in-house training, which we provide

Strong communicators do well here. You'll brief crews and give clear instructions under pressure.

Minimum qualifications

At least 21 years of ageInsurable under our motor vehicle policy: 3+ years driving history or documented defensive driving training, no severe MVR hitsPass a criminal background check, as permitted by lawPass a pre-employment drug screen and remain compliant with ongoing testing

Also worth knowing

We operate 24 hours a day. On-call rotation includes some overnight and weekend shifts, and call volume varies by site and day.Standing, walking, and climbing stairs for extended periods.Extended driving between sites, sometimes long distances.Due to the possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens or bodily fluids, immunization against hepatitis B is recommended.

On-Site Health & Safety conducts an extensive background check, which includes a motor vehicle driver's license check. The insurance company and internal safety department review MVR records to determine if an applicant will be extended fleet driving privileges based on several risk factors, including previous negative "hits" on an MVR check, such as excessive moving violations, DUIs, reckless driving, etc. The search also considers a driver's driving age/history.

Due to the nature of On-Site Health & Safety services, employees may have access to federally funded or owned job sites/projects. The test may include all substances that can be found in Department of Transportation-regulated tests. The timing of testing includes pre-employment, reasonable suspicion/reasonable cause, and return to duty.

Some employees may be classified as having safety-sensitive positions. These positions are identified as Field Personnel, including Technicians, Supervisors, Managers, Field Training Specialists, and any variation of those positions. These positions are also subject to post-accident and random testing.
