Bar Back

The Bar Back plays a crucial support role in a high-volume cocktail and full spirits bar, working under the supervision of the Bar Manager. This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in bar operations while contributing to a clean, well-stocked, and efficient bar environment. The Bar Back assists with all aspects of bar setup, supply management, and customer support during rotating shifts including weekends, with opportunities for advancement to Bartender and specialized beverage preparation training.

Responsibilities

• Manage stock levels and replenish supplies promptly to ensure smooth bar operation
• Clean glassware and bar equipment following sanitation standards
• Set up the bar for service and assist bartenders as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout shifts
• Support customer service by responding to requests and facilitating efficient service
• Perform routine maintenance and check equipment functionality
• Follow all safety and hygiene protocols to comply with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and service quality

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in bar support or hospitality roles
• Food Handlers Card or equivalent certification
• Familiarity with inventory management systems
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on teamwork
• Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in bar environments
• Experience assisting with beverage preparation
• Proven ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent time management and attention to detail
