Suma Landscaping is a multi award winning,fast-paced landscape design, construction, and maintenance company seeking a highly organized, proactive, and reliable OPERATIONS MANAGER with experience overseeing landscape maintenance and assisting account managers. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth office functionality, supporting field crews, and maintaining compliance with internal policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of bidding, estimating, and budgeting for maintenance and enhancement projects.

  • Oversee scheduling and ensure timely delivery of services

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and client expectations

  • Implement and monitor quality assurance and control systems

  • Manage employee performance, including recruitment, hiring, firing, and orientation

  • Develop and execute employee incentive programs to enhance motivation and retention

  • Maintain effective communication with clients, crews, and account managers to ensure project success

  • Promote and enforce an efficient and safe work environment, including proper use of PPE

  • Ensure proficiency and productivity across all crews

  • Control labor and material costs to remain within budgetary constraints

  • Uphold the company’s commitment to project quality and client satisfaction

  • Oversee maintenance of equipment and trucks

  • Assist Account Managers with implementing their job duties for maintenance and enhancements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in landscaping operations

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent knowledge of landscaping tools, practices, and safety regulations

  • Proficiency in project bidding, estimating, and budget management

  • Outstanding communication and organizational abilities

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Familiarity with scheduling software and project management tools

  • Valid Ca. driver’s license with clean record required

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Willingness to assist with field work and visit job sites regularly
