Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW

Graze Craze Richmond is a charcuterie catering business serving private and corporate events of all sizes throughout greater Richmond. We're looking for a detail-oriented, fast learner with recent restaurant or food service experience to join our small team!
You'll come in already comfortable with food safety practices and kitchen standards. Our training will focus on our unique brand standards, including our build guides, presentation techniques, and how we handle allergy and dietary accommodation requests with care. If you take pride in your work, bring positive energy to the team, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, then we want to meet you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble beautiful charcuterie boards, boxes, and grazing tables with precision and artistry, following our brand build guides
  • Operate commercial kitchen tools, including a meat slicer (must be 18+), food processor, and small convection oven
  • Assist with occasional local deliveries and off-site event support (21+ only, must be able to use your personal vehicle and insure accordingly)
  • Greet and serve customers in-store, by phone, and at hosted events with warmth and professionalism
  • Capture photos/videos and contribute to social media content
  • Make outreach calls to nearby businesses to introduce our services and schedule appointments for owner
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization of incoming orders, and workspace safety
  • Wash dishes and kitchen tools, and handle general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, and store — this is an all-hands role, not divided by task
  • Support the team with flexibility, positivity, and a can-do attitude
REQUIREMENTS

  • Recent restaurant or food service experience required — you should already be comfortable with food safety practices and kitchen standards on day one
  • Scheduling:
    • Must be available to work Thursdays, Fridays, and weekends — our busiest and most unpredictable days, with frequent same-day and walk-in orders
    • Additional availability required during peak seasons (February–May and September–December)
    • Hours are scheduled to volume — expect closer to 20 hours/week during slower periods and up to 30 hrs/wk during busier periods, with shifts that may start earlier or run later than scheduled depending on order volume
    • Please include your typical weekly availability in your application
  • Must be 18+ (required to operate slicing equipment)
  • Must be 21+ with a valid Virginia driver's license and good driving record if assisting with occasional deliveries and off-site catering
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work under deadlines
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable wearing many hats
  • Comfortable communicating with clients in-person, via phone, or by email
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance and stand for extended periods
  • Able to follow food safety guidelines
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS (NOT REQUIRED)

  • Current ServSafe certification strongly preferred — if not certified, you'll complete it within a couple weeks of hire, and we'll cover the cost
  • Experience with Facebook, Instagram, basic content creation and editing
  • Catering, events, or customer service experience beyond food service
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish is a big plus!)
