Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts according to company procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and damaged inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor inventory transactions, including receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, shipping, and adjustments.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific inventory requirements and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Coordinate physical inventory counts and support annual inventory audits.
  • Review inventory reports and communicate issues to management promptly.
  • Work closely with warehouse supervisors to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in identifying process improvements that reduce inventory errors and increase productivity.
  • Prepare inventory reports for customers and management.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of inventory control experience, preferably in a 3PL or warehouse environment.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical and data analysis skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cycle counting and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic reporting.
  • Experience with RF scanners and barcode systems.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with Lean or Six Sigma knowledge preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift boxes that weigh up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and climbing stairs as needed.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced warehouse and distribution center.
  • May require occasional overtime, weekends, or flexible scheduling based on customer demand.
  • Frequent interaction with warehouse associates, supervisors, customer service teams, and customers.
