Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cook to prepare high-quality meals for residents, guests, and staff within a large senior living and healthcare community. This role is responsible for food preparation, meal presentation, sanitation, food safety, and maintaining culinary standards while supporting the dietary needs of residents across multiple care settings.
The ideal candidate understands the importance of special diets, texture modifications, and healthcare food service regulations while maintaining a resident-focused approach to dining services.
Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare food according to standardized recipes and production schedules.
  • Ensure meals are prepared accurately, consistently, and served in a timely manner.
  • Maintain proper food presentation and quality standards.
  • Set up and maintain kitchen workstations according to established guidelines.
  • Restock food items and supplies throughout shifts.
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards are maintained.
  • Assist with inventory management and kitchen organization.
  • Follow all food safety and infection prevention procedures.
  • Support meal preparation for residents with specialized dietary needs.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen leadership and dining services staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Long-term care, healthcare, institutional dining, or senior living culinary experience required.
  • Understanding of AHCA regulations preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of culinary experience required.
  • Culinary school training preferred.
  • Strong understanding of quantity food production and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic knife skills and food preparation knowledge.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to take a leadership role when needed.
  • ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
