Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant

Immediate Opening $90 per hour, flexible days

A not-for-profit institution seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an active New York State License and valid DEA to join an established pain management team, working under the supervision of anesthesiologists, as a part of a large multi-specialty outpatient clinic. Willing to train. 2-5 days per week, 8 hour shift, available Hours: 9 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday, flexible schedule may be coordinated around current commitments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate new patient consultation and health history review
• Recommend further treatment options or future appointments if needed
• Provide referrals to other practitioners when necessary
• Provide after-care/ongoing care information and resources to patients and their families
• Ensure patient records are kept up to date

Requirements and Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• Current state license and DEA
• Understands HIPAA and OSHA regulations
• Able to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and other nurses
• Proficient in EHR medical charting system and computer-based data management programs and information systems
