Job Description
Montessori Primary and Assistant Teacher for classroom children ranging from 2.5 - 6 years.
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that adhere to Montessori philosophy and standards, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Create a safe, organized classroom environment that promotes independence, respect, and exploration for young children.
- Manage classroom activities effectively through strong classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies tailored to individual student needs.
- Foster positive communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on child progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing requirements to monitor student growth and inform instructional strategies.
- Support children’s physical well-being by applying first aid and CPR when necessary and promoting healthy habits within the classroom setting.
- Collaborate with administration on curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom activities.
Skills
- Montessori trained and experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating a deep understanding of childhood development principles.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and delivering effective instruction in early childhood education.
- Proven ability to manage classrooms efficiently while maintaining a nurturing environment that encourages child welfare and positive behavior.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare compliance.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and community partners about student progress and classroom activities.
- Familiarity with preschool teaching techniques, toddler care practices, and physical education activities suitable for young learners.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for children with different learning styles or recognize developmental challenges such as behavior management or literacy education needs.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
