Job Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager with an engineering background to lead the strategic planning and business development within an assigned territory. This highly visible position is responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying market opportunities, and maintaining exceptional relationships with OEM partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Account Management: Maintain and expand existing relationships with OEM customers through regular site visits, strategic check-ins, and consistent communication.
- Business Development: Identify new market opportunities via research, industry trade shows, exhibitions, and targeted lead generation.
- Sales Execution: Manage the full sales cycle—from qualifying leads and scheduling client visits to preparing technical quotes, negotiating terms, and closing orders.
- Technical Presentations: Conduct engaging technical presentations and demonstrations for current and prospective customers.
- Strategy & Forecasting: Partner with sales leadership to execute regional sales plans targeting strategic revenue, profitability, and market share goals. Consistently achieve annual booking plans on a quarterly basis.
- CRM & Reporting: Maintain a real-time sales forecast, database, and pipeline metrics in accordance with company reporting standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-disciplinary engineering and operations teams to align technical capabilities with market requirements.
- Customer Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts, resolving customer inquiries or technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all company and OSHA workplace safety guidelines (Safety Sensitive Position).
Qualifications & Essential Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
- Experience: 2–4 years of technical sales experience within an OEM environment.
- Track Record: Demonstrated history of successful sales management, account growth, and quota achievement.
- Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally 30% to 40% of the time.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong ability to read schematics, learn complex product lines, and thrive in an advanced engineering environment.
- Communication & Presentation: Superior written, verbal, and formal presentation skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical abilities with high attention to detail while managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Screening: Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required.
Preferred (Non-Essential) Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of directly related technical sales experience.
- Background in Sales, Marketing, or Applications Engineering within technology, electronics, capital equipment, or instrumentation industries.
- Hands-on experience using Salesforce (or similar CRM platforms) and ERP systems.
Physical & Mental Demands
- Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, bend, and stoop within an office and industrial setting. Ability to use standard office equipment and basic hand tools.
- Lifting: Ability to lift, move, stage, and place materials up to 50 lbs independently (heavier loads with assistance).
- Vision: Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Travel: Frequent domestic and international travel by air and automobile, including overnight stays.
- Working Conditions: Ability to perform detailed work on multiple concurrent tasks under tight deadlines with frequent interruptions, while maintaining a high level of safety and composure.
