Quality Control Inspector Metals Manufacturing

Job Summary:
Smart Staffing is seeking a 1st Shift Quality Control Inspector to inspect tank heads and metal components throughout the manufacturing process. The QC Inspector will ensure products meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and required measurements before shipment.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect tank heads and fabricated metal components for defects and quality issues.
• Perform dimensional inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to verify product requirements.
• Inspect welds and finished products for quality and workmanship.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
• Identify non-conforming materials and communicate issues to production and management.
• Work with production personnel to resolve quality concerns.
• Perform in-process and final inspections.
• Follow company safety and quality procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous QC or manufacturing inspection experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand measurements.
• Experience using basic inspection/measuring tools.
• Welding or metal fabrication knowledge is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Must be dependable and safety-conscious.
