Schedule: Monday–Friday |8 AM - 5 PM | Full-Time
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established and highly respected law firm in Oshkosh to hire an experienced Legal Assistant. The firm supports a diverse client base across public, private, and nonprofit sectors and handles a broad range of legal matters, including employment-related work and general business services.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant with 1–3+ years of hands-on legal support experience who is seeking a stable, long-term role within a professional and community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, proofread, and finalize legal documents and correspondence
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical client files
- Serve as a professional point of contact for clients and external parties
- Assist with client intake and manage confidential information with discretion
- Coordinate schedules, deadlines, and calendars, including court-related matters
- Prepare and file legal documents with courts and applicable agencies
- Support billing, expense tracking, and administrative processes
- Conduct basic legal research as needed to support attorneys
- Assist with day-to-day office operations and collaborate with the legal team
Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of experience in a Legal Assistant or similar legal support role required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with legal software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, DocuSign, ZipForms, or similar) is a plus
- Professional demeanor with a positive, team-oriented attitude
Preferred (Not Required)
- Associate’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or related legal training
- Experience supporting areas such as real estate, corporate, probate, or estate planning
