Role Overview: Seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Level 2 Access Control /CCTV Technician to support the CCTV and access control security systems within a single premier NYC property. You will be responsible for the maintenance, high-level troubleshooting of integrated security platforms (CCTV, electronic locks, intercoms, and access control) to ensure the safety of tenants and visitors.

The position works closely with building management, IT, and vendors and requires a professional, organized approach.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Service & Maintenance: Install, program, and repair access control hardware, including magnetic locks, electric strikes, card readers, and door position switches.
  • Surveillance Management: Configure and maintain IP-based CCTV cameras and Genetec Video Management Systems (VMS).
  • System Integration: Assist in the integration of security alarms within Lenel OnGuard, intercoms within Commend, CCTV Video within Genetec and visitor pre-registration databases.
  • Technical Support: Provide rapid response to equipment malfunctions and support to the security staff of building.
  • Compliance: Ensure all installations meet NYC building and fire codes.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, hardware inventory, trouble tickets and repair logs.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience servicing video surveillance and access control systems in commercial buildings
  • Experience with Lenel OnGuard or Honeywell Pro-Watch
  • Experience with Genetec or equivalent CCTV solution
  • Experience working with Mercury controller boards, door access control and related hardware installation, repair and replacement
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills


Preferred / Additional Experience

  • Experience with Commend intercom systems
  • Low-voltage cabling and terminations
  • Turnstile installation and support
  • Knowledge of commercial security best practices
  • Coordination with IT, vendors, and building operations teams.


Basic Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Industry certifications such as Lenel or Genetec
  • Ability to pass background checks and maintain required clearances.
  • Reliable attendance and participation in on-call rotation.
  • Professional appearance suitable for a corporate environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Work from ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces.
  • Work at heights up to approximately 60 feet.
