Caregiver Job Description

Client: Adult Male
Primary Disability: Cerebral Palsy

Schedule:

• Saturday: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Sunday: 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Total: 11 hours per week

Position Summary

Seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregiver to provide personal care and supportive services to an adult male client with cerebral palsy. The caregiver will assist the client with activities of daily living, household tasks, meal preparation, and companionship while promoting the client's dignity, comfort, safety, and independence.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene as needed.
• Provide incontinence care and maintain appropriate personal hygiene.
• Assist with meal preparation and basic kitchen tasks.
• Provide light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
• Assist with laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothing and linens.
• Provide companionship and social engagement.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed based on the client's individual abilities.
• Monitor the client's comfort and safety and report any concerns to the appropriate supervisor or family member.
• Follow the client's established care plan and agency policies.
• Encourage independence and provide assistance in a respectful, person-centered manner.
