Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and monitor residents' health conditions on a daily basis
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Assess and document changes in residents' physical and mental health status
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and care team members to develop and implement care plans
- Respond promptly to resident needs, emergencies, and medical concerns
- Educate residents and their families on health conditions, medications, and care procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations
Requirements:
- Valid RN or LPN license in the state of Virginia
- Prior experience in assisted living, long-term care, or geriatric nursing preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication administration and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure or emergency situations
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to resident care
- CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
