Industrial Yardman

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Yardman in Ontario, CA for a full-time, day-shift position, Monday through Friday, with a temp-to-hire opportunity. This is a physically demanding role involving manual labor, loading and unloading trucks, staging merchandise for deliveries, and working with steel products and processing equipment. The position requires extended periods of walking, bending, and working in extreme hot and cold conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using proper safety procedures.
• Stage merchandise and load drivers’ trucks for deliveries.
• Receive, stock, cut, and process steel products as needed.
• Communicate with management regarding problem orders or customers.
• Follow all company safety rules and maintain a positive, professional attitude with customers and coworkers.

Requirements

• Prior experience working in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of steel products and cutting/processing equipment.
• Knowledge of receiving and stocking procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in extreme hot and cold temperatures and performing frequent bending.
