Structural Fitter (Day and Night Shifts)

Hiring Structural Fitters, Houston TX!!

PAY: $25-$30 Based on Experience (+10% differential for night shift)

HOURS: 60+ PER WEEK | Day and/or Night Shift available

DURATION: VERY LONG TERM (12+ MONTHS)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Fit, cut, and tack material.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares welding joints
• Cuts material
• Fit and tack material required from drawings
• Fill out inspection reports and requests
• Conventional and measuring instruments
• Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
• Safety and Housekeeping

JOB SKILLS

• Ability to read blueprints
• Basic welding
• Proficiency in math
• Knowledge of structural shapes and sizes
• Ability to work with a torch and bevel machining

EDUCATION & TRAINING

• High School diploma

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Two years of related experience in a manufacturing environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work performed in a shop environment.
• Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials.
• Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
• The use of Safety Glasses is required.
• Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week.
• Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
• Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility
