Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Dietician to join our team at Absolut Care of Gasport, a leading provider of long-term care services in Gasport, NY. As a Registered Dietician at our care community, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of our residents by developing and implementing personalized nutrition plans that cater to their unique needs and preferences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and develop effective nutrition care plans for residents, taking into account their medical history, dietary restrictions, and preferences

• Provide ongoing nutrition counseling and education to residents, families, and healthcare team members

• Collaborate with our interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive care delivery and optimal outcomes

• Develop and implement menus and meal planning strategies that meet the nutritional needs of our residents

• Conduct regular monitoring and evaluation of residents' nutrition status and make adjustments to care plans as necessary

• Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in nutrition care

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident assessments, care plans, and nutrition interventions

Requirements

This is an in person position

• Current registration

• Experience in long-term healthcare or a related field

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting strongly desired

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
