Plant Reliability Technician — Coil Coating

- Do you move comfortably between PLC I/O checks, control circuits, and replacing bearings or pumps?
- Do you enjoy nights, long shifts, and the satisfaction of getting production back online quickly—and safely?
- Keep a high-volume coil coating operation running with a mix of troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance
- Hands-on work across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and utilities systems
- Document all work in the CMMS and collaborate with operations on priorities
- Adhere to OSHA and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures every step of the way
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures on production equipment
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose electrical issues involving motors, controls, sensors, and industrial wiring
- Repair and maintain gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, chains, couplings, pumps, and rotating equipment
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Maintain plant utilities including boilers, evaporators, wastewater treatment equipment, and compressed air systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
- Document completed work in the CMMS
- Follow OSHA safety standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- 480V industrial equipment
- Motors and motor starters
- Electrical controls and industrial wiring
- Sensors
- Gearboxes, bearings, chains, and conveyors
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Pumps and couplings
- Boilers and evaporators
- Wastewater treatment systems
- Air compressors
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting skills
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
- Hydraulic and pneumatic system experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Must supply your own hand tools
- Comfortable in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
- Background in steel, aluminum, coil coating, or other heavy manufacturing
- CMMS familiarity
- Welding and fabrication
- Predictive maintenance exposure
- 3rd Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off (repeats)
- 12-hour shifts with built-in overtime opportunities
- 100% on the production floor
- Heavy industrial manufacturing facility
- Non-temperature-controlled environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and moving equipment
- PPE required at all times
- Frequent standing, climbing, bending, lifting, and work around production machinery
You supply your own hand tools and uphold safety every minute—especially LOTO and OSHA standards.
