About the Role:
As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an occupational therapist to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and feeding
Helping patients with exercises and activities to improve coordination, balance, and strength
Providing adaptive equipment and assistive technology to enhance patient independence
Monitoring patient progress and reporting to the occupational therapist
Maintaining accurate and timely records of patient treatment
Requirements:
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Texas OTA license in good standing
Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients as needed
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
