Chipton‑Ross is hiring an experienced APG professional to support F‑16 sustainment, repair, and overhaul activities in Greenville, SC. You’ll be part of a site operations maintenance team trusted to keep aircraft ready for what comes next.
What you’ll handle- Execute general maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective actions across electro‑mechanical and pneumatic systems
- Perform operational checkouts and scheduled/unscheduled inspections of key subsystems, including:
- Electrical, hydraulic, and propulsion systems
- Landing gear and flight controls
- Fueling/defueling operations
- Airframe, interiors/furnishings, and crew‑escape systems
- Support aircraft movement, flight line launch/recovery, and ground operations
- Remove/reinstall panels, components, and hardware to access and service work areas
- Adhere to technical data, safety protocols, and quality standards on every task
- Contribute to sustainment, repair, and overhaul on operational F‑16 aircraft
- 6+ years of recent aircraft maintenance experience (candidates with 4+ years and strong, relevant F‑16 experience may be considered)
- F‑16 experience is required
- Hands‑on knowledge of systems such as:
- Landing gear
- Powerplants
- Flight controls
- Fuel systems
- Aircraft launch, recovery, and ground movement
- High School Diploma or GED (accredited)
- Aircraft Crew Chief / Mechanic experience: 4–6 years
- F‑16 aircraft experience: 4–6 years
- Fighter aircraft experience (F‑16, F‑18, F‑22, F‑35): 4–6 years
- Full‑Time Contract Ends - 1/2027
- 2nd Shift Position
- Monday – Thursday 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
- Initial training conducted on 1st shift; transition to 2nd shift after completion
