Job Title: Line Mechanic
Location: Near Waukegan IL
Pay Rate: $25.00+/hr.
Temp to Hire
Schedule:
2nd Shift | 3:30 pm – 2:00 am (Monday - Thursday)
Position Summary
The Line Mechanic maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production and packaging equipment to keep production running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production and packaging machinery.
Maintain and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment.
Repair equipment such as conveyors, case erectors, case packers, labelers, and fillers.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
Perform machine adjustments, changeovers, and setups as needed.
Follow safety, lockout/tagout, and PPE requirements.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Previous industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or machine maintenance experience preferred.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing production or packaging equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Basic electrical or PLC knowledge is a plus.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing.
Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
Flexible with overtime.
