The Center for Special Education Services (CSES) provides interprofessional, in-person assessment in areas of speech-language, psychology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and social work to school districts throughout Illinois.
We are seeking an experienced, Licensed Bilingual Speech Therapist to join our fast-growing, hybrid evaluation team! Our contract assessment team members enjoy excellent compensation while working on their own schedule.
As a member of the CSES evaluation team, you will complete in-person assessment of students for triennial, initial, ECAT, and/or ADOS evaluations and provide a comprehensive evaluation report for the purposes of special education eligibility. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of speech pathology, familiarity with common assessment tools, and understanding of the special education process, and has excellent organizational skills.

- Complete special education assessment of early childhood, elementary, and high school students within your geographical area.
- Write assessment reports within 10 days of evaluation.
- Attend eligibility meetings virtually, as requested by districts and according to your schedule
- Maintaining excellent records (protocols, notes, teacher /parent input interview if applicable)
- Active state license for practicing speech therapy
- PEL preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Self-starter and works well independently and with others.
- Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive.
- Ability to travel within 1 hour of home.
