Job Description

CASAC Supervisor (Master CASAC or CASAC-Advanced), SUD Outpatient Clinic

The Second Wind Behavioral Health Services is seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor to help lead our growing outpatient substance use disorder program. This role is designed for a clinician who wants to do more than oversee, someone who genuinely enjoys mentoring counselors, sharpening clinical skills across a team, and helping build something. You'll work closely with the Clinical Director to guide the clinical growth of CASAC/CASAC-T counselors and CRPA/CRPA-P peer advocates, shape how the program evolves, and bring a clinical lens to quality improvement efforts.

What You'll Do:

  • Carry a small caseload and provide direct clinical services to clients, staying connected to frontline treatment while leading the team

  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to CASAC/CASAC-T substance use counselors and CRPA/CRPA-P certified recovery peer advocates, helping them grow their clinical skills and confidence

  • Offer clinical consultation on complex cases and serve as a go-to resource for the team's day-to-day clinical decision-making

  • Partner with the Clinical Director on program development, treatment approach, and quality improvement initiatives as the program grows

  • Help standardize clinical practices and documentation expectations across the team

  • Coach staff through real-time feedback and supervision, balancing accountability with genuine support

  • Coordinate a supervision schedule that ensures adequate coverage and availability

  • Support sound caseload management and clinical workflow across the team

  • Help address performance or documentation concerns constructively, with an eye toward staff development

What We're Looking For:

  • Active NYS Master CASAC (or CASAC Advanced) required

  • Experience in SUD treatment strongly preferred

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred, particularly mentoring credentialed SUD or peer support staff

  • A clinical leader who enjoys teaching, coaching, and developing others

  • Comfortable with documentation and compliance standards, but motivated primarily by clinical quality and staff growth

  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the people side of leadership

What We Offer:

  • Paid time off, including vacation and sick days

  • Paid holidays

  • Health insurance

  • A real opportunity to help shape a growing SUD program and grow with it

  • A supportive, collaborative team environment
