POSITION SUMMARY: Maintain and repair low-voltage electronic systems at Orlando International Airport.

- Maintain, install, and repair equipment associated with, but not limited to, the following systems:
- Access control systems
- Security alarm controls
- Closed circuit television systems.
- Public address systems
- Master clock systems
- Sterile corridor controls
- Small uninterruptible power systems (UPS)
- Automatic power-operated sliding doors and associated components
- Gate opener remotes and gate access control interfacing equipment
- Escort and assist contractors in performing warranty services.
- Remain current on all GOAA emergency response procedures and maintain the proper level of response as required.
- Complete maintenance work orders as assigned, record time, materials, service logs, and equipment information correctly.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School graduate with two years of technical/vocational training in basic electronics and five (5) years of relatable experience in troubleshooting basic electronic devices to the board level. A background in electronic component level troubleshooting is a plus or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Associate degree in Electronics desired.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and logic diagrams.
- Sound working knowledge of function and utilization of electronic test equipment.
- Basic knowledge of essential safety equipment and protective devices.
- Knowledge of rules, regulations, and guidelines for safe operation of hand and power tools.
- Must be capable of properly operating field communications equipment and speaking clearly in English when operating such equipment.
- Knowledge of automatic sliding door adjustment, testing, and troubleshooting procedures desirable
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
- Knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations and NFPA 70E standard.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED / DESIRED:
- Valid Florida Driver’s license required
- Low voltage certification desired
- Certification from the American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers (AAADM) desired
