Transport Driver CNA - Moline, Illinois

At Allure of the Quad Cities, we're committed to providing exceptional care and services to our residents, and we're seeking a dedicated and caring Transportation Driver CNA to join our team!

SUMMARY:

As a Transportation Driver CNA, you will be responsible for providing safe and secure transportation of patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers, and private residences while maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring the safety of residents at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hours 9am-5:30pm

  • Provide a high level of customer service while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and other outings

  • Assist residents with boarding and leaving the bus, securing wheelchairs and walkers, and loading and unloading luggage and packages

  • Monitor resident safety on the bus, while boarding and departing the vehicle, and at the entrance and exit of buildings

  • Conduct daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness

  • Complete daily vehicle report logs and maintain accurate activity logs

  • Follow all safety procedures and protocol as dictated by local policy, federal and state regulations, and standard practice

  • Report all hazardous conditions, defective equipment, and accidents or incidents to the supervisor immediately

  • Maintain accurate records and reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a CNA license

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Active Illinois Driver's License required

  • Class C license with a passenger endorsement or Class E license for vehicles transporting 14 or fewer passengers

  • DOT compliant physical and annual physician's statement for drivers between the ages of 71 and 74

  • Experience as a bus or van driver preferred

  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs, push/pull up to 275 pounds, and move intermittently throughout the workday

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday

  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs, push/pull up to 275 pounds, and move such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet

  • May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations

  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and occasional exposure to emotionally upset residents or family members
