Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Summary

A well-established commercial mechanical contractor in San Diego is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join its growing service team. This is a full-time opportunity focused on commercial HVAC service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair throughout the greater San Diego area.

The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter with experience servicing larger commercial HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform commercial HVAC service, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls-related issues
• Service chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, package units, and other commercial HVAC equipment
• Respond to service calls and independently identify and resolve equipment problems
• Complete service documentation and communicate repair recommendations clearly
• Maintain strong relationships with commercial customers
• Follow company safety procedures and industry standards

Requirements

• Commercial HVAC service experience & strong HVAC troubleshooting ability
• Hands-on experience with chillers and larger commercial HVAC equipment
• Experience with boilers, cooling towers, pumps, and hydronic systems preferred
• Strong electrical, controls, and VFD troubleshooting skills
• EPA 608 certification required
• Able to work independently in a field service environment
