Avir at Montana is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. We are hiring for both Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a COTA who enjoys working with patients in a skilled nursing and subacute rehabilitation environment and is committed to helping individuals achieve greater independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and established goals.
Assist patients in improving strength, mobility, coordination, balance, and functional independence.
Provide therapeutic activities and exercises designed to improve activities of daily living.
Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team.
Document treatments, patient responses, progress, and other required clinical information accurately and timely.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other healthcare professionals to support patient-centered care.
Educate patients and caregivers regarding therapeutic activities, safety, and strategies to promote independence.
Maintain compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
Current Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) certification.
Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as a COTA in Texas.
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care is preferred but not required.
