Dietary Assistant

Join the dedicated Dietary Team at Oak Knoll Rehab & Healthcare Center, where your work supports the health and well-being of our residents. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Dietary Assistant to help prepare and serve meals in a safe, sanitary, and compassionate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Food Service Manager and Dietitian to follow menus and production schedules

  • Prepare, portion, and serve meals according to therapeutic diets and resident preferences

  • Set up trays/place settings based on individual dietary needs

  • Prepare snacks, beverages, and nourishments

  • Assist in stocking, storing food, and organizing supplies

  • Clean kitchen areas, dishes, utensils, and equipment per sanitation guidelines

  • Follow all food safety and infection control protocols

  • Maintain a neat and orderly work environment

  • Support vending par level preparation (snacks, entrees, etc.)

  • Assist during mealtimes and help ensure timely delivery of food

  • Attend departmental meetings and perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Prior food service experience preferred (especially in healthcare)

  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral/written instructions in English

  • Familiarity with dietary restrictions and therapeutic diets is a plus

  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout your shift

  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
