Pay Rate: $25–$30/hour, based on experience
Shifts: 2nd & 3rd Shift
Training: Initial training on 1st shift, then transition to 2nd or 3rd shift
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment, including conveyors, gearboxes, motors, blow molding equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and electrical controls.
This position requires a strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background and the ability to use diagnostic tools such as a multimeter and work with PLC inputs and outputs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair gearboxes, conveyors, motors, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical control systems, including PLC inputs and outputs.
- Use a multimeter to troubleshoot electrical issues and identify faulty components.
- Perform mechanical fabrication, repairs, modifications, and equipment adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose and repair equipment used in blow molding operations, including approximately 350-ton blow molding machines.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to minimize equipment downtime.
- Perform equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Work collaboratively with production and other maintenance personnel to resolve equipment issues.
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Electro-Mechanical Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Experience working with conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and industrial machinery.
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs, including inputs and outputs.
- Proficiency using a multimeter for electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Experience with fabrication and mechanical repairs.
- Experience with blow molding equipment is strongly preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift after completing initial training.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on electro-mechanical technician who can quickly diagnose equipment problems, troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical systems, and keep production equipment operating efficiently. Experience with blow molding, PLC troubleshooting, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics is highly valued.
