Direct Counsel is seeking a Finance & Restructuring Litigation Associate Attorney to join a leading national law firm's Finance & Restructuring practice in Dallas. This opportunity is ideal for a mid-level associate with 3–5 years of litigation experience, particularly candidates with experience at an Am Law 100 firm.
The firm's Finance & Restructuring team provides integrated legal counsel on sophisticated financial matters, including complex financial transactions, corporate debt restructurings, and related litigation. The successful candidate will work in a growing and collaborative practice while handling sophisticated litigation matters at the intersection of finance and restructuring.
ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in complex litigation matters involving financial transactions and corporate debt restructurings.
Support litigation arising from sophisticated financial transactions and restructuring matters.
Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, discovery materials, and other litigation documents.
Assist with discovery, depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.
Analyze complex financial and restructuring issues and translate them into clear legal strategies.
Work closely with partners and other attorneys on sophisticated litigation matters.
Manage assigned matters and meet demanding deadlines.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other litigation participants.
Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's Finance & Restructuring and litigation practices.
J.D. from an accredited law school.
3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably with an Am Law 100 firm.
Experience handling sophisticated commercial litigation matters.
Strong interest or experience in finance, restructuring, financial transactions, and related litigation.
Excellent legal writing and research skills.
