Finance & Restructuring Litigation Associate Attorney

Location: Dallas, TX

Direct Counsel is seeking a Finance & Restructuring Litigation Associate Attorney to join a leading national law firm's Finance & Restructuring practice in Dallas. This opportunity is ideal for a mid-level associate with 3–5 years of litigation experience, particularly candidates with experience at an Am Law 100 firm.

The firm's Finance & Restructuring team provides integrated legal counsel on sophisticated financial matters, including complex financial transactions, corporate debt restructurings, and related litigation. The successful candidate will work in a growing and collaborative practice while handling sophisticated litigation matters at the intersection of finance and restructuring.

Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in complex litigation matters involving financial transactions and corporate debt restructurings.

  • Support litigation arising from sophisticated financial transactions and restructuring matters.

  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, discovery materials, and other litigation documents.

  • Assist with discovery, depositions, hearings, and other litigation proceedings.

  • Analyze complex financial and restructuring issues and translate them into clear legal strategies.

  • Work closely with partners and other attorneys on sophisticated litigation matters.

  • Manage assigned matters and meet demanding deadlines.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other litigation participants.

  • Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's Finance & Restructuring and litigation practices.

Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

  • 3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably with an Am Law 100 firm.

  • Experience handling sophisticated commercial litigation matters.

  • Strong interest or experience in finance, restructuring, financial transactions, and related litigation.

  • Excellent legal writing and research skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Strong academic credentials.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
