Essential Functions
Plans, conducts, and participates in occupational therapeutic programs
for groups or individual residents.
Exercises judgement in conducting appropriate treatment activities.
Consistently demonstrates knowledge of the principles, practices, materials, and equipment of occupational therapy.
Applies applicable health and safety precautionary measures as it relates to knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Follows infection control practices and procedures for safety of residents, co-workers, and self
Creates and sustains resident interest in treatment activities.
Ability to use the interpersonal situation effectively to benefit the resident
Plans specific treatment programs in accordance with indicated needs of
resident. This requires knowledge, skill and ability when selecting appropriate treatment activities or situations suited to residents' specific physical
or emotional needs.
Adjusts program in accordance with residents' progress.
Exercises good professional judgement when requesting supplies and
equipment according to established procedures.
Prepares variety of reports and maintains records in accordance with
established procedures and state/federal requirements.
Adheres to the Ivy Hill stated mission, philosophy, value and
vision principles/statements.
Always maintains and enforces Residents Rights and dignity.
Maintains resident confidentiality at all times.
Participates in and has knowledge of facility safety practices and performs expected role in Fire and Disaster plans.
Participates in resident care conferences and other committees as necessary.
Maintains appropriate interaction and communication with resident families.
Other related duties as assigned.
Education
Completed a degree in Occupational Therapy
PA State Occupational Therapy License
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Ability to lift more than 25 lbs., walk, kneel, grasp, stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, read, write and speak.
Exposure to inside environmental conditions.
