About the Role:
As a Respiratory Therapist at Avir at Pearland, you will be responsible for:
Providing respiratory care to patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia
Conducting patient assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and evaluating patient outcomes
Operating respiratory therapy equipment, including ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and nebulizers
Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Educating patients and their families on proper use of respiratory equipment and disease management techniques
Responsibilities:
Provide respiratory care services to patients in a hospital setting
Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure excellent patient outcomes
Requirements:
Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Texas
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field
Minimum 0 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (new graduates welcome to apply)
Ability to work a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
