Join Our Rehabilitation Team!

Avir at Montana is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. We are hiring for both Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA who enjoys working with patients in a skilled nursing and subacute rehabilitation environment and is committed to helping patients improve mobility, strength, function, and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

  • Implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and established goals.

  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional mobility, transfers, gait training, balance activities, and strengthening programs.

  • Monitor and document patient responses and progress during treatment.

  • Communicate patient progress and changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team.

  • Assist patients in achieving greater independence with mobility and activities of daily living.

  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, safety, and appropriate use of assistive devices.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care.

  • Follow facility policies, professional standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Texas.

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.

  • Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care is preferred but not required.

  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
