Avir at Montana is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. We are hiring for both Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA who enjoys working with patients in a skilled nursing and subacute rehabilitation environment and is committed to helping patients improve mobility, strength, function, and independence.
Responsibilities
Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and established goals.
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional mobility, transfers, gait training, balance activities, and strengthening programs.
Monitor and document patient responses and progress during treatment.
Communicate patient progress and changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team.
Assist patients in achieving greater independence with mobility and activities of daily living.
Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, safety, and appropriate use of assistive devices.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care.
Follow facility policies, professional standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Texas.
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care is preferred but not required.
