Burner Controls Commissioning Technologist

Are you the go‑to expert when burners act up?

Work remotely, travel weekly, and help customers keep their operations running. At Rockford Combustion, we’ll train you onsite to master combustion systems and empower you to solve complex controls and electrical issues in the field.

What you’ll do

• Diagnose and resolve burner control and electrical problems
• Execute point‑to‑point checkout, startup, and commissioning of new equipment
• Partner with plant personnel and communicate findings clearly
• Complete field service reports and manage expenses accurately
• Spot opportunities for upgrades and additional repair work
• Deliver training support as needed
• Handle other duties as required

What you bring

• HVAC know‑how and strong mechanical troubleshooting
• Hands‑on experience with motor replacement, repair, and maintenance
• Understanding of alternative fuel systems
• Experience with machine safety inspections

Where you’ll work

• Home office base
• Weekly travel to customer sites
• Onsite training provided to gain deep combustion expertise
