About the Role
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Buckeye Commons Care & Rehabilitation, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover from injuries, illnesses, or surgery. You will assist with patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and implement physical therapy interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes. You will also maintain accurate records, communicate with patients and families, and participate in team meetings.
Responsibilities
Assist licensed physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatment plans, and interventions
Implement physical therapy modalities, such as heat, cold, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound
Conduct exercises and activities to improve patient strength, flexibility, and mobility
Monitor and record patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate's degree in physical therapy assistant or related field preferred
