Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

North County Nursing and Rehab is looking for a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our healthcare team! The CMA will administer medications in a conscientious and effective manner that protects the safety and welfare of the Resident and the institution.

Salary: Flexible based on experience

Shift / Schedule Availability: 3P-11P

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Requirements:

• Take and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, and pulse.

• Prepare patients for examination by explaining procedures and assisting with positioning.

• Assist with minor surgical and diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a physician.

• Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician.

• Prepare and maintain medication rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization.

• Collect laboratory specimens (e.g., urine, blood) and perform basic lab tests.

• Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and instruments.

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Skills/requirements:

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and patient care practices.

• Ability to perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and administering injections.

• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling software.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Current CMA certification
