The Adjunct Clinical Faculty member supports the Radiography Program through clinical instruction, supervision, mentoring, and evaluation of students in the clinical education setting. The faculty member serves as a liaison between the college, clinical affiliates, and students to ensure the achievement of program objectives and compliance with accreditation, institutional, and clinical site standards.

This position primarily focuses on clinical education while also supporting laboratory instruction, student advising, competency evaluations, and program assessment activities as assigned.

Requirements:

Clinical Instruction and Student Supervision
  • Provide direct clinical instruction and guidance to radiography students in assigned clinical settings.
  • Monitor student progression toward clinical competency and professional development goals.
  • Ensure students adhere to radiation safety principles, infection control standards, HIPAA requirements, and departmental policies.
  • Conduct clinical site visits and maintain regular communication with clinical instructors and department leadership.
  • Evaluate student clinical performance using established program assessment tools.
  • Assist students in achieving required clinical competencies and program outcomes.
  • Identify and address student performance concerns and develop remediation strategies when appropriate.
  • Promote professional conduct, ethical behavior, and effective patient care practices.
Assessment and Evaluation
  • Complete clinical evaluations, competency assessments, and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Participate in practical examinations, competency testing, and laboratory assessments.
  • Monitor student attendance, documentation, and clinical compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records related to student performance and progression.
Program Support
  • Assist with curriculum implementation and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in program meetings, advisory committee activities, and accreditation-related tasks as assigned.
  • Support student recruitment, orientation, retention, and graduation efforts.
  • Collaborate with faculty and clinical affiliates to enhance educational experiences and clinical training opportunities.
  • Assist with laboratory instruction and simulation experiences as needed.
  • Participate in program assessment and student learning outcome evaluation processes.
Professional Development
  • Maintain current knowledge of radiographic procedures, imaging technology, and educational best practices.
  • Maintain all required professional credentials and licensure.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities and continuing education.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director or Clinical Coordinator.
  • Support institutional policies and contribute positively to the mission and goals of the college.
