As a COTA, you’ll work alongside the Occupational Therapist to help residents improve their independence, function, and quality of life. Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Occupational Therapist with individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic activities targeting ADLs, strength, coordination, mobility, cognition, and self-care
- Monitor and document resident progress accurately and timely
- Educate residents and families on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment
- Communicate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in care planning and team meetings
- Follow treatment protocols and applicable safety and regulatory standards
- Promote a resident-centered approach to rehabilitation
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) program
- Current COTA certification and Pennsylvania license in good standing
- SNF, long-term care, or geriatric experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
